Front Desk Receptionist

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS) Must be computer literate and type 55 words per minute. Must demonstrate excellent telephone, customer service, and communication skills. CREDENTIALS AND ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS, (IF APPLICABLE) Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.


·            Provide timely opening and closing of the reception desk, Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

·            First point of contact for consumers and visitors.

·            Greet and assist visitors and consumers in a professional, friendly manner, while providing direction throughout the facility.

·            Contact department clerical support to announce visitors and confirm appointments.

·            Ensure all visitors sign into the facility, and sign confidentiality waivers, where applicable.

·            Work closely with departments and facility security guards to provide a smooth flow of traffic into and throughout the facility.

·            Manage facility switchboard, using professional and friendly protocol.

·            Log consumer data into the NextGen system upon assignment, as needed.

·            Sort daily USPS mail and contact department clerical support for pickup.

·            Ensure daily outgoing mail is accessible for USPS pickup.

·            Provide clerical support for other staff, as needed and when time permits, with supervisor’s approval.

·            Update staff mailboxes, as needed.

·            Provide lunch coverage for co-receptionist.

·            Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of reception area and entrance into facility.

Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor, and executive director, as needed
