MUST HAVE THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE AND APPLICATION OF MCO’S, MEDICAID AND COMMERCIAL BILLING PROCESSES. CUSTOMER SERVICE, FAMILIARITY WITH ICD-10 CODES AND PROCEDURES, AND A WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF MEDICAL JARGON PREFERRED. CREDENTIALS AND ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS, (IF APPLICABLE) CERTIFICATE OR ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE IN MEDICAL CODING OR A RELATED FIELD

  • Assures new consumer insurance is accurate in database for billing and clinical records based on Intake and screening appointments.
  • Creates the necessary files and databases for data management.
  • Verifies information to ensure data accuracy.
  • Assists staff with the access of client data.
  • Reduces data redundancy.
  • Assists the Billing Team-Lead with researching eligibility of insurance and the correction of billing errors to capture the financial sustainability of the organization.
  • Assists consumers with completing Medicaid applications to go to Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS).
  • Responsible for all billing and validation corrections that go to the ADAMHS Board and ODJFS.
  • Assists with consumer record storage, maintenance, retrieval and security.
  • Completes necessary corrections from the ADAMHS Board and MCO’s as well.
  • Upload all information to GOSH for new consumers and existing consumers once a year for updates; also any day to day consumer demographic, insurance or income changes.
  • Scan all updates insurance documentation into NextGen.
  • Knowledge of (Managed Care Organizations, Medicaid and commercial insurance carriers).
  • Have the capacity to be the “backup” liaison between Project Cure, Inc. in conjunction with the ADAMHS Board’s liaison (ODJFS) regarding the MCO application status.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
