LPN/Dosing Nurse Part-Time

in LPN

MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION IN PSYCHOACTIVE SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER TREATMENT. FAMILIARITY WITH REGULATIONS CONCERNING METHADONE ADMINISTRATION AND DISPENSING PREFERRED. MUST BE A GRADUATE OF AN APPROVED SCHOOL OF PRACTICAL NURSING. MUST BE LICENSED AS A PRACTICAL NURSE BY THE OHIO BOARD OF NURSING. MUST HAVE COMPLETED A COURSE IN MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION APPROVED BY THE OHIO BOARD OF NURSING.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs medical/somatic services in collaboration with the Medical Director and the Medical Services Supervisor.
  • Administers methadone and dispenses services in compliance with all Local, State, and Federal Regulations.
  • Reviews and completes medical records in compliance with all Local, State, and Federal Regulations.
  • Assesses medical and case management services in compliance with all Local, State, and Federal Regulations.
  • Provides medical counseling services for individuals, groups, and families in
  • compliance with all Local, State, and Federal Regulations.
  • Administers drug screening services in compliance with all Local, State, and Federal Regulations.
  • Assists physician with client admission, physicals, and medical assessments.
  • Assists with the weekly setup of Rx medicines for residential clients as directed by the Medical Director.
  • Other related duties as required or assigned by Medical Director, Medical Supervisor or Executive Director.
  • Assists/participates in all quality improvement activities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have at least one year of demonstrated experience and/or education in Psychoactive Substance Use Disorder Treatment. 
  • Familiarity with regulations concerning methadone administration and dispensing preferred.

CREDENTIALS AND ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a graduate of an approved school of practical nursing. 
  • Must be licensed as a Practical Nurse by the Ohio Board of Nursing. 
  • Must have completed a course in medication administration approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
