MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION IN PSYCHOACTIVE SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER TREATMENT. FAMILIARITY WITH REGULATIONS CONCERNING METHADONE ADMINISTRATION AND DISPENSING PREFERRED. MUST BE A GRADUATE OF AN APPROVED SCHOOL OF PRACTICAL NURSING. MUST BE LICENSED AS A PRACTICAL NURSE BY THE OHIO BOARD OF NURSING. MUST HAVE COMPLETED A COURSE IN MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION APPROVED BY THE OHIO BOARD OF NURSING.

  •  Performs medical/somatic services in collaboration with the Medical Director and the     Medical Services Supervisor.
  •  Administers methadone, buprinorphine and Vivitrol services in compliance with all   Local, State, and Federal Regulations.
  •  Reviews and completes medical records in compliance with all Local, State, and   Federal Regulations.
  •  Assesses medical and case management services in compliance with all Local, State,   and Federal Regulations.
  •  Provides medical counseling services for individuals, groups, and families in
     compliance with all Local, State, and Federal Regulations.
  •  Administers drug screening services in compliance with all Local, State, and Federal   Regulations.
  • Assists physician with client admission, physicals, and medical assessments.
  • Assists in maintaining, and performing TB Testing program.
  • Other related duties as required or assigned by Medical Director, Medical Supervisor or Executive Director.
  • Assists/participates in all quality improvement activities as assigned.
  • Assists Medical Services Manager and/or Registered Nurse Team Leader as assigned.
  • Demonstrates effective and appropriate communication with co-workers, Medical  Department staff, consumers, and all other facility staff and vendors.
  • Maintains and up-dates knowledge on a regular basis of NextGen/electronic health  
    records and policy/procedures related to the use of NextGen.
  • Maintains expertise, knowledge of Method One dosing policy and procedures, and tasks.
