Registered Nurse

Must have at least one year of demonstrated experience and/or education in Psychoactive Substance Use Disorder Treatment. Familiarity with regulations concerning methadone administration and dispensing preferred. Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Ohio Board of Nursing. Unrestricted license mandatory, background in Addictions/Mental Health preferred.

1. Performs medical/somatic services in collaboration with the Medical Director and the Medical Services Supervisor.

2. Administers methadone and dispenses services in compliance with all Local, State, and Federal Regulations.

3. Reviews and completes medical records in compliance with all Local, State, and Federal Regulations.

4. Assesses medical and case management services in compliance with all Local, State, and Federal Regulations.

5. Provides medical counseling services for individuals, groups, and families in compliance with all Local, State, and Federal Regulations.

6. Administers drug screening services in compliance with all Local, State, and Federal Regulations.

7. Assists physician with client admission, physicals, and medical assessments.

8. Assists with the weekly setup of Rx medicines for residential clients as directed by the Medical Director.

9. Other related duties as required or assigned by Medical Director, Medical Services Manager or Executive Director.

10. Manages and delegates duties to Medical Services staff when appropriate or when assigned by the Medical Services Supervisor and/or Medical Director.

11. Maintains dispensing equipment, security protocol, diversion control protocols and reports equipment malfunctions, discrepancies, and errors in a timely manner to Medical Supervisor, Medical Director and/or Executive Director.           .

12. Assists Medical Services Supervisor/Medical Director with maintaining/creating projects, programs and various services pertaining to the Medical Services Department.

14. Assists and directs nursing staff to maintain regulatory compliance of methadone dispensing, as well as, books, logs and ledgers pertaining to dispensing activity, as required by local, state and federal laws.
